And relax. We're back from our super mini summer holiday and we're over recharged for the new year, aka September, the back-to-school, let's-get-our-lives-in-order kind of period.
I felt a bit trapped in our dark house those past few months so I needed the sun. I also think summer breaks have to be about letting go of everything and have a swim in the sea/ocean is my absolute favourite thing to do. It's something I've surely missed a lot in July/August.

We were supposed to go to Brittany but had to change our plans which made everything better: a beach holiday to Marseille was booked in a hurry. We traveled by train to Lyon in order to spend a day there before heading to Marseille the next day. In the morning, I went for a 9KM run in a beautiful park that also had a zoo. It was so perfect, the park had everything: giraffes, lake, rest areas, zebras, botanical area, ... There were many joggers like me and the sun was out, it was gorgeous. After that, we went for an 11 am breakfast that included cake - delicious!
We spent the rest of day walking around town and visiting churches... The next morning we caught an hour and a half train ride to finally arrive in Marseille in time to see the little fish market in the Old Port. We also went out for breakfast in a cute little café. Breakfast is my favourite!
Days were spent walking, going for a swim or traveling by boat to the various beach spots. We visited two museums, including the MuCEM which I highly recommend seeing. At least, just go inside the building, it's free.
We stayed at the Mama Shelter which is fabulous. I mean, look at this bed, it's totally dreamy.
The breakfast, the little soap and shampoo, the free movies, everything is almost perfect there.
We had a stroll in the quartier Le Panier
We climbed on top of hills
Overall we had a good time, taking some rest, recharging.
I made a very short video of our time at the beach. It's nothing extraordinary, it's a lot of us in our swimsuits swimming and kissing. I'm sharing just because ♥ but really, it's not a video made for the blog...
I hope you are all ready for autumn too, I'm super refreshed and ready to get things done!
